Eureka Springs Attractions: War Eagle Mill and War Eagle Cavern, Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, Dinosaur World, Quigley’s Castle, Ozark Mountain Hoe Down Music Show, Pine Mountain Jamboree Music Show, the Great Passion Play, the Historic Museum.
Sunday Market and Lucky 13 Outdoor Cinema: After your Eureka Springs wedding, enjoy vendors of all kinds during the day each Sunday, 9am to 4pm. After the market packs up, Sunday evenings from late May to October, the Outdoor Cinema runs a great variety of movies, from new releases to classics, with costume contests, door prizes and musical entertainment. Bring the family, your camp chairs and the pets!
Walking Around: Self-guided walking tours – booklets available at the Historic Museum. Visit all of our 37 named springs in and around the historic loop.
The Great Outdoors:
- Blue Springs Heritage Center - See the power and wonder of Blue Spring, pouring 38 million gallons of cold, clear water each day into its trout-filled lagoon. Visit the historic bluff shelter, now on the National Register of Historic Places.
- Beaver Lake for fishing and boat rentals at nearby Starkey Marina.
- Canoeing is excellent on our Kings River or White River (seasonal), and the Buffalo National Riverway is only an hour away.
- Lake Leatherwood City Park – fishing, boating, over 15 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails.
- Horseback riding available at several stables around Eureka Springs.
Car Show Weekends: From Corvettes to Volkswagens to the Classics, car lovers can’t stay away.
Fine Arts:
- May Fine Arts festival – all month long come celebrate the arts, starting the first weekend in May with the Artrageous Parade!
- Galleries open all year, offering the works of both local and national artists.
The Auditorium: Various artists perform throughout the year at our historic landmark Auditorium. Artists in the past we have been host to include Ray Charles, Allison Krauss, Bill Crosby, Lyle Lovett, the Smothers Brothers, and too many others to mention.
Music Festivals: Festivals, including Blues Festival in the late spring, Bluegrass Festival at the end of August, and Folk Festival in October, occur throughout the year. Everybody from big names to local acts perform for a three-day packed schedule. Remember to book your lodging for these events early, as space is limited.
Opera in the Ozarks: Magnificence performances from rising young national talent held in June/July each summer.
December in Eureka Springs:
- The Christmas Parade, usually the first weekend in December, showcases the energies of both locals and visitors in various floats and costumed fun accompanied by visiting marching bands from around the state. (Featured on A&E in 2003)
- Lights adorn historic homes and our historic downtown buildings, providing the backdrop for Christmas shoppers and window shoppers alike.
- The Victorian Tour of Homes, usually the first weekend in December, offers guests a chance to wander through an elegant selection of Victorian era homes, decorated to the nines. Each year a different neighborhood hosts this event.
